Collaborating with the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) to train future journalists in the film and entertainment industry has been immense, particularly in honing our students’ skills in the nuanced area of film criticism. Since partnering with AAFCA to form its first academic internship program we have been amazed at the opportunities and networks presented to our students at Clark Atlanta University. As partners, we know that the work our students are doing with AAFCA supports its vision and bridges the gap by providing a platform to increase the number of aspiring film critics and journalists.
