Avengers: Infinity War is Exhilarating, Jaw Dropping Superhero Yumminess

I'm a geek.  Yup. I said it out loud.  I love superheroes and any movie that centers around one.  So, when for the 10th anniversary of Marvel Studios they busted out with Avengers:  Infinity War the suspense was simply more than I could bear!  Let me tell you Marvel nor the film disappointed.  I laughed. I gasped. I mourned.  I cried.  The gambit of emotions felt in the 2.5 hour epic was insurmountable and made for the best movie going experience EVER!!!!

Avengers: Infinity War, the third installment in the “Avengers” franchise and 19th Marvel Studios film to date, marks the 10-year anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began with the release of “Iron Man” in 2008.  Assembling a team from every Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise ever, the Avengers align in solidarity attempting to defeat the powerful Thanos (James Brolin) before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

It's simply the celebration of all celebrations and battles.  Ironman single-handedly reinvented a whole new career for Oscar nominated Robert Downey, Jr.  Benedict Cumberbatch put Sherlock Holmes on pause to inhabit the world of Dr. Strange, not to mention Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Vin Diesel,  Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Platt, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Elizabeth Olsen , Tom Hiddleston,  Karen Gillian, Anthony Mackie, Zoe Saldana Sebastian Stan, Benedict Wong, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Benicio del Toro all have careers that have benefitted greatly from their superhero alter egos.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who are no strangers to the franchise, having directed both the Captain America sequels, are clearly riding on the monumental box office success of “Black Panther.”  The fight scenes were epic, some of them about 15 minutes too long, but thoroughly engaging nonetheless.  Let's face it. Avengers:  Infinity War is a film for the fans of Marvel comics and films...plain and simple leaving us with the biggest jaw dropping cliffhanger I have seen in quite some time.  It's like going to a Hollywood bash where all your favorite superheroes are the guests of honor.

Avengers:  Infinity War is exhilarating, exhausting and breathtakingly awesome breaking into a theater near you April 27th.
